The smart control system for Fiedler Schwemmtechnik

In modern municipal technology, maximum efficiency, resource conservation and ergonomics are key to operational success. This is precisely where the FIEDLER Multimatic-Control (FMC) comes into its own.

Thanks to intuitive operation via a proportional joystick or a 3D mouse, drivers retain full control. Water volume, nozzle configuration and working width can be controlled directly from the cab. Whether on narrow pavements or wide main roads – the working width of the flushing boom can be flexibly adjusted. The result: a consistently perfect flushing pattern, both when cornering slowly and when cleaning at speed on straight stretches.

Technical highlights at a glance:

  • Water volume and pressure: Intuitive regulation of flow rate and optional display of the water volume applied.
  • Stepless width adjustment: Millimetre-precise control of the hydraulic telescoping mechanism or the award-winning chain-driven adjustment of the flushing boom.
  • Section shut-off: Section control (centre section/side sections) saves water on narrow lanes.
  • Special nozzle management: On-demand activation of frog-mouth nozzles, vertical spray bars or high-pressure under-floor nozzles to tackle stubborn dirt.

The Fiedler single-tank strategy –
Systematic year-round use

Maximise the profitability of your fleet. With the FTS tank system (AllSeason-FlexiTank), you can use your carrier vehicle 365 days a year:

  • Summer use: Ideal for watering, flushing and high-pressure cleaning. Optionally expandable as a hot-water system for chemical-free weed control.
  • Winter use: In just a few simple steps, you can convert the system into a highly efficient brine spray system for winter maintenance.

Invest in sustainability and efficiency. Fiedler spray booms are the robust solution to the challenges of modern urban and landscape maintenance.

The 10 most important FAQs about Fiedler Schwemmtechnik

Flushing is a method used for cleaning roads or pavements, in which water is forced through specialised nozzles at high pressure. A fan-shaped jet dislodges dirt such as mud or dust from the road surface and, using the force of the water flow, directs it towards the kerb.

A flushing bar is particularly effective at removing fine dust, sludge and general dirt. Whilst sweepers often reach their limits when dealing with coarse debris and wet, sticky soil, the flushing technique removes dirt deep into the asphalt structure whilst simultaneously binding dust emissions.

The applications are wide-ranging: removing dirt caused by construction vehicles, cleaning up after storms, dust suppression in industrial settings, and general maintenance of roads, pavements and public spaces.

Fiedler systems are highly flexible. They can be installed at the front or rear of narrow-gauge vehicles (e.g. Egholm, Kärcher), municipal utility vehicles (e.g. Multicar, Hansa, Ladog) and truck chassis (e.g. MAN, Unimog).

The telescopic flushing bar allows for continuous adjustment of the working width. This ensures maximum flexibility, as the system can adapt to different road widths and narrow sections whilst in operation.

The frog-mouth nozzle is a special flat-spray nozzle designed for flushing applications. Thanks to its distinctive shape, it produces an extremely sharp, flat water jet with a powerful flushing effect, which effectively pushes dirt to the side.

Fiedler systems are conveniently controlled via a remote control from the driver’s cab. The driver can precisely adjustthe spray angle, water pressure and lateral offset (e.g. to the left or right) without leaving the vehicle.

Yes, water spraying is one of the most effective methods of dust suppression. By wetting large areas of the surface, it prevents particles from being stirred up, which improves air quality, particularly during dry spells and in city centres.

Yes. Thanks to technical features such as the infinitely adjustable telescopic side elements and the hydraulic side shift, the sweeping width can be precisely adjusted to suit the requirements of the road surface in question.

Fiedler’s modern flushing systems optimise water consumption through precise nozzle technology. Thanks to the high cleaning speed and the option to use reclaimed water, the system offers a resource-efficient solution for local authorities.
