The 10 most important FAQs about the wedge plough
The series differ in terms of their robustness and weight. The XX05 series is a weight-optimised, lightweight version designed specifically for smaller narrow-gauge vehicles and municipal tractors with lower lifting capacity. The XX20 series is the heavy-duty version for intensive continuous use and larger carrier vehicles, where maximum stability and penetration force are paramount.
The FKP is a versatile tool. At the touch of a button, it can be adjusted to three main positions:
- V-position: For breaking through high snowdrifts and for the ‘initial assault’.
- Y-position: For efficiently pushing together and piling up snow.
- Side position (straight/angled): For classic clearing to the side (left or right).
Safety is a priority: the FKP features a tried-and-tested folding blade system. When the plough hits an obstacle (e.g. a manhole cover), the blade segments fold away individually and are immediately returned to their working position by spring force. This protects the plough, the vehicle and the driver.
